Macbeth has murdered Duncan and is feeling gulity for killing someone who was a great friend an had made him thane. Macbeth says that he will find it hard to sleep as it could trumatis him. Lady macbeth drugged the guards and macbath killed Duncan but a guard saw him and had to be murdered. Macbeth is worried that he couldn’t say Amen as it was stuck in his ‘throat’. “List’ning their fear, i could not say ‘Amen’. Guard knock on macbeths door but his hand are full of blood so he says “will all great Neptune’s ocean wash othis blood clean from my hand?”

Lady macbeth is speaking to herself in the scene and then macbeth intervines.  They start talking about who is at their house and when they are leaving “my dearest love duncan leaves today” I believe she is trying to figure out when they are leaving to plan an attack on him
